Eileen Conlon of Burns Car Sales wins
ŠKODA Marketing Person of the Year
We’re delighted to announce that our very own Marketing Manager – Eileen Conlon has claimed the coveted ŠKODA ‘Marketing Person of the Year’ award for 2018, beating off stiff competition from 26 other dealers in the ŠKODA network around the country at the brands annual conference last week in Dublin. Eileen previously won this award in 2014 and is the only person in the ŠKODA dealer network to have won this award more than once.
Presenting the award, Raymond Leddy, Head of Product & Marketing, ŠKODA Ireland said “We are thrilled to announce Eileen as the 2018 ŠKODA Marketing Person of the Year. Led by Eileen as Marketing Manager, Burns Car Sales has come up with innovative marketing campaigns during the last number of years which have proven to be absolutely key in achieving success and ensuring ŠKODA is one of the best-selling car brands in Sligo.”
During the award ceremony, Eileen was commended for two campaigns in particular. The first campaign was the recent ‘Graduation Campaign’ which was a competition aimed at 6th year students for a chance to win a chauffeur driven experience to their graduation courtesy of Burns Car Sales. The campaign was a huge success with 346 entries and the subsequent video received a massive 12,420 views. Eileen was also instrumental in orchestrating the ‘Made for Sligo’ campaign which localised the national ‘Made for Ireland’ campaign by showcasing the benefits of ŠKODA vehicles to the people of the county. The campaign championed the New 7 seater KODIAQ Sportline and showed how the vehicle is perfectly designed for families.
