Marketing Manager

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to build & maintain a favourable public image for the SKODA brand in the Northwest through the market & promotion of our products & offerings. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the Marketing Strategy for Burns Car Sales in an integrated, multi-platform approach.  The Marketing Manager will report to the Dealer Principal and Company Directors. 


What skills are needed? 

  • minimum honours degree in Marketing. 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a senior marketing role.  
  • Experience of implementing, leading, and delivering marketing strategies. 
  • A track-record of working to targets and achieving growth targets. 
  • Experience of preparing complex reports and reporting on trends. 
  • Strong analytical knowledge & proficient in using various online systems. 
  • Be a self-starter, an expert multi-tasker and communicator with a keen eye for detail. 

What does it involve? 

  • Develop and manage the implementation of the Burns Car Sales Marketing Strategy. 
  • Develop, communicate, and implement competitive sales/marketing strategies and tactics. 
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to company directors on marketing issues such as the marketing strategy, website presence, market situation, competitor analysis, etc. 
  • Be responsible for the planning and execution of high-quality marketing and promotional media, including web content, social media, print & radio, sponsorships, etc ensuring all comply with corporate guidelines. 
  • Management and on-going development of the Burns Car Sales websites including our brochure and eCommerce websites, online content, SEO, PPC and third-party sites.  Ensuring the websites are relevant, informative, engaging, competitive and user-friendly. 
  • Continuously explore new & innovative ways to increase the brands digital footprint & share of voice through social formats & platforms. 
  • Manage the Marketing budget. 
  • Analyse and report on KPI's for Sales, Aftersales and the Marketing departments. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on sales, targets, market trends, website statistics, operating a high degree of confidentiality.  Reporting on these to the Dealer Principal and Directors. 
  • Development and Measurement of Burns Car Sales post-purchase customer retention strategy including Customer Touch Point management and performance management. 
  • Continuing to increase the level of Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction through Human Touch. 
  • Customer database collation and continued management to ensure customer data is maintained and GDPR compliant.   

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Valetor / Car Detailer 

For this role we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, makes attention to detail a priority and who thrives in a fast-paced working environment. 
What does it involve? 

  • Cleaning of showroom cars to ensure they are displayed in immaculate condition for visitors.
  • Interior and Exterior cleaning of all cars traded into the dealership to the highest possible standard.  Trade-In cars to be in a re-saleable condition within 5 days of being traded-in. 
  • Upkeep of the New and Used Car display around the dealership. 
  • Mini-valet of all cars through the workshop on a daily basis.
  • Cleaning of the showroom floor on a daily basis. 
  • Ensure health & safety guidelines, manufacturer guidelines and company policies are adhered to. 
  • Comply with all HSE & Government guidelines surrounding Cov-ID 19. 
  • Use of high powered-washers, cleaning and protective agents to enhance the appearance of vehicles. 
  • Maintain a clean working environment at all times. 
  • Deliver & collect customer cars to/from various sites.  
  • Ad-hoc assignments as required.

  • Time Management and Communication.
  • The ability to take direction, work on your own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • The ability to work well under pressure. 
  • A positive work ethic.
